A readable result starts with a readable photo
Use soft light and leave room for the glow.
Choose an original portrait with one visible face, natural detail, and space above the hair and beside the shoulders. Face a window or broad lamp instead of standing in front of one. A straight-on view works, but a clear three-quarter angle can feel more natural.
Avoid screenshots, collages, sunglasses, heavy beauty filters, and crops that cut through the hairline. Those choices do not reveal a “bad aura”; they simply give the generator less useful visual information. If the first result feels cramped or muddy, improve the crop and light before rerunning it.

An artistic system with visible boundaries.
AuraPhotoAI looks at visible photographic cues and creates a designed color field. It does not measure electrical activity, body heat, health, chakras, or an invisible energy field. There is no questionnaire that asks you to select the mood you expect to see.
The accompanying text uses a versioned dictionary of fourteen colors. Some meanings are aligned with modern color–emotion research, some come from historical aura traditions, and some are clearly labeled editorial blends. Brightness, saturation, combination, and placement all change the story; no color is inherently good or bad.
You can inspect the definitions, source papers, historical reference, and change log in the AuraPhotoAI Color System. You are always free to keep the image and reject a meaning that does not fit your context.

Kirlian photography
Records corona discharge around an object in a high-voltage field. It is an electrographic technique and not the process used by this selfie generator.

The uploaded source photo is processed to create the result and is not stored. It is not used to train models without explicit permission. A finished Aura card is stored only when you sign in and deliberately save it to the Daily Aura journal.
